Scope of Works
Principal Contractor role direct for the client carrying out Resident Liaison, site set up, obtaining any necessary licences/ approvals and provision of welfare, site temporary distribution (water distribution) management of piling contractor, logistics management, pre-commencement surveys, soil classiÞcation, piling platform maintenance, unexploded ordinance clearance, piling attendance and muck away.

RDBL mobilised on day 1 to be informed that badgers were potentially nesting nearby and therefore the working area was reduced, reducing logistics. RDBL worked quickly to install additional drainage in compliance with the trade effluent licence and a new access haul road. Our Principal Contractor Role included preparing all necessary compliance documents such as Construction Phase Plan and relevant monitoring to ensure we were compliant under CDM Regulations. We provided regular resident liaison with a demanding residents group through an experienced RLO and updated residents of progress. Despite lost time from piling rig and batching plant breakdowns and subsequently additional works being awarded. The works were all completed within our original target programme.
